From the graph, we know the statistics of the difference in the length of people’s lives between urban people and people in the mountainous regions. It can be seen easily that in some mountainous regions nearly 50 out of 100,000 people live to celebrate their 100th birthdays, and many don’t stop at 100. The air over the mountains is very fresh and pollution-free. In such environment the people can live healthily. But in cities, the environment is polluted, which is harmful to people’s health. However, the graph may not indicate the future case. With greater importance attached to the improvement of urban environment and more measures taken to harness our polluted environment, the lives of the urban people may also be lengthened for sure.
