初二英语作文：学校考试应减少 Exam Should Be Reduced

Tt is known to us that the exam is the main method to measure the students'knowledge in school.But nowadays this method is almost be-coming the only way to judge the students'ability and knowledge.

If this method is over-used,I believe it will do us more harm than good.For one thing,too many exams keep the students from reading widely,because the students are forced to prepare the lessons to be examed.Their knowledge can only be narrowed within few text-books taught in class.For another,the exam itself encourages rigid memoriza-tion instead of initiating the students'creativtiy and individual thinking which will be of great importance in their future work.

So we can conclude that too many exams are not good to the stu-dents.Some measures should be taken to lessen the students'burden.Remember the main purpose of the exam is to urge and encourage the students to learn more.

我们知道考试是学校检查评定学生知识水平的主要方法。如今这种方法几乎成了判断学生能力与知识水平的手段了。

如果这种方法滥用，我相信这将会弊多而利少。理由一，太多的考试阻碍了学生广泛地学习，因为学生必须复习那些考试的科目。他们的知识也只能局限于课堂上讲授的`那几本书。 理由二，考试本身鼓励了死记硬背，并没有倡导学生要有创造精神，要独立思考，而这些正是他们将来工作所必需的。

因此我们可以讲，太多的考试对学生并没有什么好处。应该采取一些措施来减轻学生的负担。要记住考试的主要目的是督促和鼓励学生去学习更多的知识。
